USA to Face South Korea and Japan in September Friendlies

The USMNT will play two international friendlies this September against South Korea and Japan, giving fans a real look at how the squad is progressing ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

September 6 – USA vs South Korea

September 10 – USA vs Japan

Both matches will be played in the United States as part of U.S. Soccer’s continued push to test the team against strong international opponents. Japan, especially, will be a tough challenge. They defeated the U.S. 2–0 in 2022 and have continued to grow as a team.

These games are also a great opportunity for Mauricio Pochettino and his staff to experiment with new players, try different ideas, and build momentum as the World Cup approaches.
