Messi scores but late comeback stuns Miami in MLS clash

Inter Miami CF fell 3-4 against Orlando City SC in a high-scoring MLS matchup at DRV PNK Stadium.

Miami started strong and built a three-goal lead, but Orlando responded with a late comeback to take all three points.

FAST START FOR INTER MIAMI

Inter Miami opened the scoring early when Ian Fray headed in a cross from Telasco Segovia in the 4th minute, marking his first goal of the season.

Segovia extended the lead in the 25th minute after a combination play involving Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez, finishing from close range.

Messi then made it 3-0 in the 33rd minute with a precise finish, bringing his total to eight goals this MLS season.

ORLANDO CITY COMEBACK

Despite the early dominance, Orlando City responded with goals in the 39th, 68th, 79th, and stoppage time to complete a dramatic comeback and secure the 4-3 win.

WHAT’S NEXT

Inter Miami will look to bounce back when they travel to face Toronto FC at BMO Field on May 9.
